Sword Dancing - 101: Back to Some Basics with Selayma Anan!

Sunday June 8th @ 10:00-12:00pm -
This workshop will have something for everyone!  The first time and the more experienced sword dancer ... we will be focusing on technique and control of your sword.  A choreography will be taught to help practice theory taught.

Please Note:  This class "assumes" that you have reasonable control of your isolations.  If you do not have a sword, or do not desire to dance with a sword, but are interested in the challenge of sharpening your control and technique via balancing, you may substitute with a tray, pot, candelabra, or basket.

Yes, it's Shimmy time!  Going into our third official year for SFCCo, some of you have given us your feedback on some facets of Shimmy and here's where we're now at:

Website Update:
With everything that's been happening this year, this has been delayed . . . HTML drives me NUTS!  But this is still being worked on.  In the interim, we will now have this "temporary" website available for those of you that don't do Tribe or MySpace.  You can come here for updates on SFCCo until we get the final website up and running :-D

Shimmy Instructors for 2008:
YES!  It's true!  Y'll asked for 'er, you got 'er!  Laylia of Columbus, Ohio will be teaching one class on Saturday, and one class on Sunday this year .  .  .

TribalTique will also be teaching . . . you just have to love these Ladies' sass, skill and technique!

I will also be teaching a sword workshop this year . . . why? Because you were asking for a workshop when I come out for SFCCo . . . so I figure, I can do a workshop, and YOU can support SFCCo, all at the same time!  Gotta love win-win situations ;-)
